The new look is so much cleaner that many are wondering why Honda waited until the middle of the cycle to give it this incredible facelift. In the back LED fog lights have been added to all trims except the LX with changes to the trim with all red taillights and a thinner piece of chrome to give the rear a sleeker and more streamlined appearance. LED headlights in a revised a design along with a cleaner chrome strip change the looks of the front. On the exterior the front fascia and grill have been restyled. While not one of them is particularly big, together they add up to a sizable update. Honda has made several small changes in the new Odyssey for 2021. In addition to this, it features a wireless phone charger, a hands-free power tailgate and a vacuum. For example, it features perforated leather and ambient lighting on the instrument panel. In addition to all of the other goodies we discussed previously, you get a little more. The Elite trim will set you back $48,940 with a $400 jump over last year’s model. Finally, the wheels have been updated to include new 19-inch alloys. ![]() There have been two front sensors added on top of the front and rear parking sensors for driver assist features. It does come with a camera for keeping an eye on the kids in the back seat while you’re driving. This is because there are a few larger features that are no longer standard. You also get second row seats that are a lot easier to take out when you need the extra space. It’s still an excellent value for the cost. The LX starting price is $32,910, but it’s important to keep in mind that the addition of a lot of standard features and technologies is the culprit behind the price jump. The 2021 Honda Odyssey has jumped in price to the tune of $1,000. It’s great that they decided to include this as a standard feature that won’t cost you a penny more. This decreases the chances of accidentally leaving a child or pet in the back seat. This technology prompts you to check the back seat before you exit the vehicle. What we really love about the new Odyssey is that the LX also comes equipped with a rear seat reminder. This includes adaptive cruise control with low speed follow, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and more safety features. The brand has thrown in as standard equipment Honda Sensing technologies in a suite that provides you with a load of driver assist features. You’ll get more in the base edition of the Honda Odyssey for 2021 than ever before.
